SCS were chosen to design and install an upgraded Access Control system at the Bracknell offices of Panasonic UK.

Covering some 40+ doors, installed across three separate buildings, the system makes use of the Panasonic computer network to minimize the requirement for new cable runs. Control units were installed locally to the doors, and then connected to the LAN through local network points. This method of installation enabled the new TDSI system to be installed parallel to the existing system, with the changeover from old to new being carried out over a week-end. All old equipment was subsequently removed, with the areas where the equipment was installed & made good. Panasonic users were then given comprehensive training on the new system, which is now operating smoothly on a day to day basis.

The upgrade of the system went very smoothly, and the flexibility of the system has allowed Panasonic to subsequently expand the system by a further 12 doors. SCS hope that the smooth changeover to the new system will help to initiate a long and amicable relationship between the two organisations.

On the 21st September 2009, the Princess Royal officially opened Oaksey House in Lambourn. Oaksey House is a purpose designed rehabilitation centre run by the Injured Jockeys Fund, specifically to provide medical, financial & pastoral care for injured jockeys and others in the race horse industry.

Oaksey House in Lambourn is the result of a 5 year journey to create a purpose designed building for Injured Jockeys. Starting with research in 2004, locating a suitable site, getting the relevant planning approval and the building project itself, the project finally came to a conclusion this summer.

SCS are proud to have been the nominated Security Installer for these prestigious premises. During the construction phases, SCS installed a multiplexed Intruder Alarm system, Vehicle Entrance & Pedestrian Gates with automation, a CCTV system, Access Control and Automatic Sliding Entry Doors.

As befitting a building of this stature, the equipment specification list was high. Menvier Intruder Alarm Control equipment, Optex Detection devices, FAAC Gate automation products and Eneo CCTV products including fully functional external dome cameras for panoramic surveillance. The combination of these installations collectively provides an effective front line of security at the site.

SCS have been installing high quality bespoke automated gates for Willowmead Limited.

Willowmead are known for their attention to detail and high quality products. With this in mind SCS custom made two sets of double leaf gates, in two different styles, fabricated from Iroko hardwood. The gates are automated using the latest equipment to enable easy operation by the residents.

Not only do the gates look amazing they are also an excellent deterrent to keep trespassers off your property.

During the summer holiday, as part of a larger project by Lent Rise School in Burnham to extend and re-surface the Car Park, SCS installed Access Control and automated the existing Entrance Gates.

A pair of FAAC hydraulic surface closers were installed along with a GSM Intercom. The Intercom can contact either the Main School telephone number: alternatively a second button will contact the Site Controller on his mobile phone. Thus allowing the Site Controller to move around the site and still be notified of visitors at the Entrance Gates.
