There are so many cameras of different shapes, sizes and specifications available, it´s safe to say that there is a Camera to suit any budget.

Options include; monochrome or colour, or you can have a day/night camera, some of which are colour during the day, switching to monochrome at night. Alternatively there are day/night cameras that are colour all the time but require the viewed area to have additional lighting for night-time use.

The Cameras can come in the traditional rectangular style housing, they can be all-in-one bullet type or they are available as a Dome unit. Domes can be fixed to a wall or a ceiling but they can also be mounted on swan neck pendants.

Furthermore, Cameras can be fixed, i.e. just looking at the same area all the time like a petrol pump on a Service Station forecourt or they can be high speed dome units capable of zooming into a scene. These High speed Dome cameras can be operated via a Control Room or they can be linked to Perimeter/Intruder Detect ion devices which when triggered will automatically switch the Camera to look at the offending area.

Recent years have seen the development of IP Cameras that can save labour time by using a clients existing network infrastructure.

Specialist applications include, Covert units, Vehicle Number Plate Recognition, Thermal imaging, and Auto-tracking.
