In the past 6 months SCS has been developing a very exciting new business relationship with Marwell Zoo. After meetings within our marketing departments SCS has recently sponsored MARWELL ZOO with two additional IP addressable cameras which are to be located in the Leaf Cutter Ants enclosure and the Lemur enclosure. Marwell Zoo already have four cameras located viewing the Giraffes, Tigers, Penguins and Meerkats but are still receiving great demand from the public to view more animals live over the internet.
With a new expansion programme for the zoo under way Marwell Zoo really is the south of Englands leading zoo with over 200 species of animals from tiny
ants to the tallest giraffe.
This zoological park is set in over 100 acres of beautiful Hampshire parkland, and is owned and operated by the Marwell Preservation trust, a registered charity.
Not only does Marwell have its marvellous zoo but also a piece of extraordinary history with Marwell Hall.
Marwell Hall was built in the early 14th century (around 1320) by Walter Woodlock, a relative of the Bishop of Winchester. It was a timber-framed structure of the type known as a base cruck, in size about 8 metres by 13 metres. Over the centuries many alterations have been made, but the original medieval hall remains as the core of the building.
This hall is also used for weddings, conferences and many other things which can make a very special day that something a little different.
